MuseALABAMA is for anyone. It is time spent together through interactive music, visual art, movement, word and food. Its purpose is to engage the Self through creative forms and shared experiences that connect us with a creative muse. It’s about finding something that we may have lost along the way in our life or explore something new.

Who founded MuseALABAMA?

Founded by Jill Marlar who for over 25 years has taught young children and youth in art, music, and drama through her small business. She is a “Jill of several trades” living her life as a teacher, visual artist, actress, musician, writer, and to top it off in her mid forties opened a coffee shop with her husband James Little in early 2019. Now living near family roots in Greenville Alabama she is building arts outreach for all ages across Butler county.

Jill’s creative business path began in 2001 with teaching music classes after school that later expanded into a thriving enrichment experience for after school students of all ages throughout the year. Her teaching schedule allowed for time in the art studio where she focused primarily on intaglio printmaking creating several thousand hand editioned original prints. Continuing her lifelong love for music and acting she often works on various creative projects. She is a trained singer, voiceover artist, and actress who continues to share her talents in her work as well as teach. For Jill, creativity is the root where she draws from and teaching allows her to share that in her home, businesses or wherever she finds herself. Her mission is to allow others to know that their individual voice matters and to believe they have a fulfilling purpose in life.
